Location and Travel Options

Travel by public transport

Baselland is easily accessible by public transport.

Examples of travel times to Liestal, the cantonal capital of Baselland:

  • Basel SBB: 10 min.
  • Olten: 16 min.
  • Zurich: 53 min.
  • Bern: 45 min.

Update: SBB is building a new double-track section in the Laufental valley between Grellingen and Duggingen by the end of 2025. The construction work will require a five-month closure of the railway line between Laufen and Aesch from the end of April to the end of September 2025.
