The Castles on the Wartenberg. A thousand years of history in a prime location.
The Wartenberg offers a great insight into the Middle Ages. Here, around 1000 years ago, one of the first noble castles outside the gates of Basel was built, which expanded for centuries. This includes the front Wartenberg, the well-preserved residential middle Wartenberg and the idyllically situated rear Wartenberg. Impressive!
