Selected Cycling Routes and Itinerary Suggestions

Enjoy the ride on the signposted SchweizMobil Veloland routes. We recommend that you plan a whole day for each route - there is plenty to discover along the way.

Route 1: Exploring the Burgenzauber Route (Castle Magic Route)

Baselland is rich in fortresses, castles and ruins. On the Burgenzauber Route (Castle Magic Route), SchweizMobil Veloland Route 114, you can enjoy the wonderful landscape of Baselland and Schwarzbubenland and - as the name suggests - various fortresses and castles along the way. (The route will be signposted from April 2024 onwards). The start and finish of the circular route is Aesch with an S-Bahn connection.

Route 2: Discovering the Baselbieter Hof-Route (Baselland Farm Route)

In Baselland, there are around 900 agricultural farms. The Baselbeiter Hof Route (Baselland Farm Route), SchweizMobil Veloland Route 113, takes you through the picturesque Jura landscape and to various farm shops. The delicious regional produce ensures that you have plenty of energy. The start and finish of the circular route is Gelterkinden with an S-Bahn connection.

Route 3: On the Chirsi Route (Cherry Route) from Liestal to Laufen

The SchweizMobil Veloland Route 111, the Chirsi Route (Cherry Route), is particularly delightful during the "Bluescht" (cherry blossom) season and connects Liestal and Laufen. The two charming old towns tempt you to stay longer.
