More about the estate
Founded in 1874 by Baselland native Johannes Schwob as a wine merchant, the company expanded in the 1950s to include its own vineyards, winery, bottling plant, and distillery. After the passing of Paul Schwob, the estate, which had been run by family members for generations, was transferred to a foundation. Between 250 and 300 tonnes of grapes are processed each year in the modernised winery, equipped with state-of-the-art production technology. Close to 500 wines and 200 spirits from around the world complement the regional products.
