Description

Even on the journey by bus, the tour impresses with a beautiful view over Baselbiet. Before the first highlight of Sissacherfluh, a small ascent must first be mastered. However, this can be done well – because wonderful panoramic views await at Sissacherfluh – in good weather up to the Alps – and a restaurant. On the way to the restaurant, it is worth visiting the Sissacherfluh fortification. The path continues on a varied hiking trail towards the Bischofstein ruins. At the ruins you can rest well. There is a barbecue site with grill grate ready, and the castle complex offers a great backdrop for playing hide and seek. On clear days, the view stretches to the Alps, and the city of Basel appears within reach. After a short hike, the Tännligarten forest playground is already reached. At the beautiful forest playground, children can let off steam in the great outdoors to their heart's content. The playground features a suspension bridge, a forest swing, a zip line, pulley ferry, and great fire pit infrastructure. Those who still want more after the forest playground can explore the Allmend playground in Sissach at the end of the hike. The excursion can be wonderfully rounded off in the village center of Sissach with coffee and cake or ice cream.
